Default Studio set up

hey Jimmy,
You should really think about investing in an interface or an audio card. I have a friend who is using an m-audio Delta card with much success. Those are only 100 bux, so not an expensive investment to double the sound quality. Get those tunes recorded..we wanna hear them!

My studio setup is pretty good for the most part. I've been recording all the week but the funny thing is, today I ran right into a brick wall...smack! I was trying to cut corners by skipping the mixer and just going direct using the phantom power supplied by my interface. That is all fine and well as long as you are micing everything. Well, I'm spending the day rearranging now because going direct isn't such a good idea for several reasons. 1. You can get more output by mixing it first then going into the interface. 2. You'll definitely need a preamp going direct with instruments like bass or guitar. well by tomorrow, I hope to back up and running with my 14 channel mackie ready to go.
