Wink Mixing Live Shows

I was never a sound man but had to learn how to mix live performances being in the music industry as long as I have. Here is just a thought ...

You dont want to overload effects! Thi is a mistake made by alot of people mixing live sound. You want the effects on the vocals to wetten them a bit, not to saturate them. You want it to be pleasant ot the listener not make it so they can't understamd what you are singing and playing.

Effects on the instruments ...
You might wanna consider what instruments you are effecting. A slight delay on a guitar is nice, just enought to 'slap back' when you are in the acoustic setting. This is what I do. Some guitars don't need it, either. You have to consider the instrument.

Arrow Sponsors

I hate mixing a bad show when one of the band's sponsors decide to send their rep to check it out, gets me in trouble every time
